You know when you just wake up and realise you're going to be in a better mood. Yeah? That was me this morning.
My mum is still fed up, my dad is still annoying and, yes, I'm still overweight. However, I'm in a far better mood. The only thing that's missing is Stanley.
So, anyway, because of this I thought that I would dedicate this blog to my Cayman Islands trip that occurred in May.
When we arrived it was boiling and the first day on the beach I nearly fainted, because it was just that warm! It was nice to see Joe and Maria, even though there wasn't as much to do this time round. On the first Saturday, we hired a boat that took us around the island:
There's proof that I went on a speedboat! We went to Stingray City. It's a sandbar in the middle of the sea so the water is only about three feet deep. The Stingrays aren't dangerous. You can feed them, kiss them (seven years good luck!), hold them and have a massage from them. It's such an amazing experience. I mean, it's not everyday that you can just chill in the sea with stingrays. Then the captain of the boat too us somewhere we could go snorkelling. However, I passed upon this opportunity, because I'm not a huge fan of snorkelling. I always become really disorientated so me, mum and John just chilled on the boat to some Bob Marley! We then went for some lunch and the captain took us to Starfish Point. Although, there were loads of boats there so we, unfortunately, couldn't hold any starfish. Anyway, the boat was an amazing day. I could definitely get used to the lifestyle!
We just chilled on the beach the next few days. However, for quite a few days it was really overcast! :( So, we went into Georgetown and I spent roughly £100 on MAC cosmetics. I don't care, it was worth it already. If anyone ever wants to buy me something, but isn't sure what some MAC products shall do. The eyeliner I bought is amazing, it doesn't budge! Even when I'm trying to wash it off. Well worth the expenditure!
Then we had a tropical storm for the last few days. Which is pretty self explanatory. However, for my big finish I shall be talking about the fact that I got to swim with dolphins! I was genuinely the best experience of my life.
In the first photo the dolphins are pulling me along with their fins. The second they are kissing me on the cheeks (obviously) and the pièce de résistance, you lay in the water with your feet flat and the dolphins swim behind you and push you out of the water by your feet. It feels something akin to flying! It was amazing. I realise I've said that, but there is no other way to describe it. We also held a dolphin, danced with both the dolphins (who were called Ziggy and Nemo), stroked them, shook fins with them and other things. Definitely would recommend this experience to anyone.
peace
