Sweet peach.

Another gem I wanted to share with you all is this:

I bought it not too long ago in the River Island sale for £15 down from £40. I was overjoyed, because not two weeks before I'd been debating with myself whether I could justify spending £40 on the item. I'm glad I didn't! I can't quite decide if it's a dress or a top, so, to be safe, I wear it with leggings. It's a beautiful delicate peach colour, a colour which I covet so much. I think it's such a pretty colour. Almost everything I see in this colour, I instantly need it in my life. To add to the prettiness, it has little plastic (doesn't sound good I know) flowers around the neck line. Also, as it is a smock-like top it's perfect if you're going somewhere special, but aren't feeling too great about yourself. It has a slight cut out back, so I'm still looking for a good bra to go with the top.

I hope you all like it as much as I do. I just need some more excuses to wear it now!

Enjoy, leave comments and such :)

I can hear the bells!

On the 18th August, John and I went to a wedding of someone that he lived with whilst at university. I wasn't really looking forward to it, because I didn't know anyone and John tends to get somewhat drunk and wander off in these kinds of situations.

However, they are a fabulous reason to con John out of buying me a new dress :) and here it is! It cost £68 from a French Connection outlet in the York Designer Outlet Centre. It should have been £170 which made it seem like even more of a reason to make the purchase. It fits really well and ties around the waist so I can have my waist as defined as I desire. To go with the dress I decided on the colour scheme of silver and lilac for my accessories. So, I bought these shoes from Marks and Spencer online:

as you can see from the somewhat obvious price tag, they only cost £15! They were kitten heels, which looked perfect under the maxi dress and meant that I could actually walk around!

Next to show you is my bag, which took ages for me to find and I stumbled upon the bag purely by looking on Google images! The bag is from www.fireflyaccessories.co.uk, it's a cute online shop which sell: silk handbags, shoulder bags, purses, pashminas, etc. Some of their products are Fairtrade too! Which is a bonus! Anyway. the bag was £15, with £1.95 delivery. It wasn't as big as I was expecting, but I could still fit my hipflask in it, so it's all good!
Finally, every (female) wedding guest shouldn't be without their pashmina. I couldn't find a lilac/grey/silver pashmina. So, I bought this one. That sounds like I didn't like the pashmina, which is completely wrong, I love it! It's lilac and pale gold and from Accessorize for £22! It's quite thick, which means I'm going to use it as a scarf in the winter. Just to make sure I've got my monies worth that is!

I thought I'd also include a photo of the finished product along with John looking rather handsome in his Dinner suit!

7 Deadly Sins of Beauty.

GREED
What is your most inexpensive beauty item? What is your most expensive?
My most inexpensive beauty item is probably my Boots' Natural Collection Face Powder. I love it and it does a surprisngly good job to say it costs about £1.50.

My most expensive beauty item is my MAC foundation brush, which cost 48 Cayman Dollars which is about £35. If that doesn't count as a beauty item, then it's my MAC foundation itself, which was about £20 (also purchased in the Cayman Islands).

WRATH
What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?
I have a love/hate relationship with lipgloss. I love wearing it, but I can never find one that isn't ridiculously sticky or wears off within 2 minutes of application. I can also never find a decently priced primer for my face.

GLUTTONY
What are your most delicious beauty products?
Um, I don't really have any delicious beauty products. I have some crappy lipbalms that sort of taste of different ice cream flavours, so I'll go with them.

SLOTH
What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?
Concealer. Apart from under my eyes, I rarely use it. Even though I know I should, because it gives my foundation a better base.

PRIDE
What beauty product gives you the most self confidence?
Foundation. I either use Garnier BB Cream (when I'm being lazy or not going somewhere I deem important) or MAC Pro Longwear SPF 10 foundation in NC25. It genuinely is the best foundation I've ever owned. Well worth the money, it lasts ages too, because I only have to use a small amount.

I also feel quite good when I wear false eyelashes. I recently bought some ELF ones and for £1.50 they're really good. Though, haven't had a chance to wear them yet as they need trimming down.

Oh, and my MAC lipstick in Rebel. I love the colour and I love how my pout looks in it!

LUST
What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
I love muscular arms and a lovely smile.

ENVY
What items would you most like to receive as a gift?
Um, some more MAC products probably. I'm hoping my foundation lasts until near my birthday, so I can either ask for it or use birthday money to purchase some more with :)

OOTD: Guns 'n' Roses edition.

OOTD: Guns 'n' Roses edition
So, here's my OOTD. Patterned leggings, red vest and a huge, baggy Guns 'n' Roses t-shirt. I love wearing this top with my patterned leggings, because with plain black ones it feels a little depressing. However, since I've lost some weight, the top doesn't look good without a vest on underneath to balance it out. All the items are ages old, but I'll list where they're from anyway:

Guns 'n' Roses top: H&M
Red vest (worn underneath): Topshop
Leggings: New Look.

All that's missing from this is an uber long necklace. I just couldn't find one to wear!

Enjoy, leave comments and whatnot :)

Skater dresses are my friends.

I've previously bought a couple of skater dress from Primark (one being the red, polka dot one in a previous post) and I love the shape of them. I also think that skater dresses can be very versatile. You can dress them up for nights out or formal events or you can use them for the most casual of occasions. I also believe that skater dresses suit most body shapes. I'd class myself as an hourglass and they fit perfectly on my waist and skim over the part of my stomach that I don't really like. To me, they are a must purchase for chubby girls!

Anyway, I bought two that were exactly the same from New Look: one in a forest green and the other in a rose pink. They both cost £11.99. However, I managed to get my student discount on the pink on and got it for just over £10. For how much I've worn the both of them, I feel like they were massive bargains.

I usually style them both with a skinny belt at the waist, black tights and, either, ballet pumps or converse/vans. They look good with a denim jacket or my blue jersey blazer. They're really light so are perfect for the summer. However, in the winter, I plan on wearing them with leggings and a cosy jumper to keep myself warm.

They are still available in New Look in assorted colours. I seriously suggest everyone should invest in at least one!

Enjoy, leave comments and such :)
