So, it's taken a while, but I've finally found the perfect midi skirt for me. From Topshop of all places, and in the tall section. I have so much love for any shop that is the distributor of clothes for those people who are not of midget height. The one I have on in the photo is a petrol blue color, but thanks to the joys of a small changing room, an iPod camera and Instagram you can't see so well. I also made the bold decision to buy the skirt in black, because let's face it. You can never have too many black skirts.
So, those are the skirts. Topshop £20.
(Which for Topshop, I thought was quite bargainous!)
The top I have tucked in is from River Island. It's a oversized tshirt. One of my personal favourite styles, because even if you're having a fat day, you have something that doesn't make you feel worse. Well, they don't make me feel worse anyway.
Unfortunately, it's no longer online, so I can't show you the proper picture.
Finally, I completed the outfit with my trusty "leather" jacket. Favourite thing, because it literally goes with everything in my wardrobe.
Black tights and my black domino converse were my finishing touches.
Hope you like it.
See, chubby girls can rock bodycon, midi skirts too!
You look gorgeous! I really want to try a midi but I hear it'll just make my chunky hips and thighs (plus chunky calves...) look odd haha :-) Might have to give these a go, I love Topshop's Tall section - total God send!
ReplyDeleteI thought the same about midis too, but with a pair of tights on underneath, it smooths me out, and I don't feel too self-concious. Seriously, give them a go. These two are particularly good, because they're double layered, so they don't show the stuff you're concious of too much! Seriously, you'll love them!
